1) Turn everything into a habit.

Some people say that it takes at least 30 days to build a habit. But as you know… once something becomes a habit, it becomes second nature.

By turning your healthy lifestyle into a habit (getting used to eating better foods, learning portion control like the back of your hand, etc.)… you will be far more likely to keep up with the weight loss.

2) Stick to a schedule.

Keeping to a schedule is another aspect of turning things into a habit.

Trying to eat at the same time every day is really great. Your body will get used to eating around the same time every day… and then you will be less likely to crave unhealthy foods.

3) Make sure that your snacking is healthy.

Eating healthy snacks will help you so much in the long run. Always have some healthy snacks handy… and you will be far less likely to be pressured into grabbing that unhealthy food.

4) Try to exercise regularly.

Even just walking a few times a week for 30 minutes can be so beneficial to keeping weight loss off.

The more you exercise, the healthier you can be! Coupling this with a healthy diet will only increase your chances of keeping that weight off.

5) Keep things fresh.

Just because you have built up habits and schedules doesn’t mean that you can’t keep things fun and new.

When things start to get boring or become a chore… it’s far more likely you will abandon it. So, try and implement new healthy foods… or find new, fun ways to keep the healthy lifestyle up!

All in all, it can be really hard to lose weight AND keep it off.

But is it impossible? Of course not!

If this study shows us anything, it should show us just how important keeping that weight off is. So, this should serve as extra motivation to continue living that healthy lifestyle.
